# Platform

> Connectors, webhooks, custom fields and passthrough - the account-level plumbing every integration sits on.

Platform is not a data model like HRIS, ATS or LMS. It is the account-level surface every connector runs on, whatever category it belongs to - listing which integrations are available, managing one customer's connection, extending a unified model, and reaching a vendor directly when the unified models do not cover something.

## The areas

| Area | What it does | Start here |
| - | - | - |
| **Integrations** | The connectors available for a category | [Get Integrations](/api-reference/integrations/get-integrations) |
| **Connectors** | List, resync and delete one customer's connection | [Get Connectors](/api-reference/connectors/get-connectors) |
| **Webhooks** | Push notifications for sync and data events, instead of polling | [List Webhooks](/api-reference/webhooks/list-webhooks) |
| **Custom Fields** | Add a raw upstream value to a unified model that does not expose it | [List Custom Fields](/api-reference/custom-fields/list-custom-fields) |
| **Passthrough** | Call the third-party system directly, for what unified models do not cover | [Make Passthrough Request](/api-reference/passthrough/make-passthrough-request) |
| **Embedded SDK** | Run the connector link flow inside your own product instead of Magic Link | [Create Link Token](/sdk/create-link-token) |

<Info>
  Every Platform endpoint takes the API key alone. The connector token is only required where a request names one customer - see [Authentication](/api-reference/basics/authentication).
</Info>
